How’s a body supposed to tell the time with just lines? Young folks and their newfangled ways, I swear.

I seen some numbers about this watch. They say it’s 27 millimeters this way, and 3.3 millimeters that way. Millimeters! What in tarnation is a millimeter? Sounds small. And then there’s the insides. They say it’s got 212 parts. 212! Can you believe that? Somethin’ so small with so many parts. I can’t even imagine something like that. I wonder how long it takes to make a Patek Philippe, with 212 parts. Probably a long time. And it’s got 30 jewels. Jewels! Inside a watch! I guess that’s why it’s so expensive. And shiny.
Some folks say it’s got a “classic” look. I don’t know about classic. Just looks like a watch to me. A gold watch. But a watch. A fancy one, sure, but still just a watch. And they say it’s 39 millimeters across and 8.08 millimeters thick. Again with them millimeters! But I guess that means it ain’t too bulky. Don’t want a watch that’s gonna weigh your arm down, I reckon.

Now, the price. That’s the real kicker. I seen different prices. One place said thirty thousand dollars. Thirty thousand! Another said a little more than that, like thirty-two thousand or somethin’. For a watch! I swear, some folks have more money than sense. I wouldn’t pay that much for a watch if I had all the money in the world. I just do not see it as a good use of money. But, to each their own, I guess.
They say it’s a good watch, though. This Patek Philippe, that’s the name of it. They say it’s a good one. Keeps good time, I suppose. Better, for that price! And it’s got this fancy movement, they call it. “Self-winding.” Means you don’t gotta wind it up yourself, I guess. It just kinda winds itself as you move around. Pretty neat, I suppose. But is it thirty thousand dollars neat? I don’t think so.
I heard some other numbers, too. 29 jewels, 213 parts, somethin’ about 28,800 somethin’ or other. I don’t know what all that means. Just sounds like a lot of somethin’. A lot of little parts all workin’ together to tell the time. And to look fancy, I guess. That must be why they call it a luxury watch. I do not know what a luxury watch is, I just know that this Patek Philippe watch must be one.
Is the Patek Philippe 5227R-001 Worth It?
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about this Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227R-001 watch. It’s gold, it’s shiny, it’s got a lot of little parts, and it costs more than a car. Is it worth it? Well, that’s up to you, I reckon. If you can afford a gold Patek Philippe then you probably know more about it than I do. If you got that kind of money, and you want a fancy watch, then I guess this is the one for you. Just make sure you know how to tell the time with them little lines instead of numbers. I hope you like this remake, whatever that means.
And if you do buy it, wear it in good health. And don’t come cryin’ to me when you lose it, that is my advice. I would hate to lose something that is so expensive. You better not lose it. It is probably best to keep it in a safe or something. I don’t know. I do not own a Patek Philippe. I am just telling you what I heard. You can do with it what you want.
Me? I’ll stick with my old watch. It may not be fancy, but it tells the time just fine. And I don’t need to take out a second mortgage to buy it. This Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227R-001 is for sure a nice watch. A good, strong watch. But it is not for me.
