Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster Super Racing watch for a while now. I finally pulled the trigger and bought it. Let me tell you about the whole experience.
First off, I started by doing a ton of research online. You know, just browsing around, reading articles, and looking at pictures. I found out that it’s a pretty big deal because it has this new Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre thing. Sounds fancy, right? It’s supposed to be super accurate, like only off by 0/+2 seconds a day. That’s insane!
I also learned that it’s a tribute to the original Speedmaster, which was worn on all six moon landings. Pretty cool history there. But the Super Racing is more than just a history lesson, it is like the brand’s most complicated movement ever.
After I felt like I knew enough, I went to a local watch shop to actually see it in person. The 42mm stainless steel case looked sharp, and the black dial with those three sub-dials was just stunning. It felt really good on my wrist, too. Not too heavy, but still substantial.

- Black dial with three sub-dials
- Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre
- 0/+2 seconds per day accuracy
So, after trying it on, I decided I had to have it. I paid for it right there at the shop, the price is a little bit high, but you know it worths it. They even gave me a nice box and all the paperwork.
I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now, and I’m loving it. It’s definitely a conversation starter. People keep asking me about it. And honestly, it just makes me feel good to wear such a cool and well-made watch.
I also found some info that a vintage 1957 Speedmaster sold for like $3.4 million at an auction! I mean, mine isn’t that old, but it’s still a pretty special watch.
Anyway, that’s my story about getting the OMEGA Speedmaster Super Racing. It was a bit of a splurge, but I’m really happy with it. If you’re thinking about getting a new watch, you should definitely check it out.
I also learned that this model was discontinued in 2009, but you know you could still find some similar models.
All in all, that is my experience of this watch, hope my experience could help someone who interested in this.
