This here watch, they call it a Rolex Submariner, two-tone, black. Fancy name for somethin’ shiny, ain’t it? My boy, he’s always talkin’ ’bout these fancy things. He keeps goin’ on and on about how it’s a good deal, like I know anythin’ about good deals on watches that cost more than my whole house. But he says, “Mama, this high imitation Rolex, it’s the real deal, almost.” Almost, he says! Like almost good enough to fool anyone who ain’t a watch expert, whatever that is.
What’s so special ’bout this here watch?
Well, ‘ccordin’ to my boy, who’s practically an expert himself now, this two-tone black Submariner is somethin’ special. It’s got this shiny black color, like a beetle’s back, but fancier. And it’s got gold on it too, not real gold, mind you, but somethin’ that looks like it. Shines just as bright, he says. He says a real one costs a lot more, but this one is a high imitation Rolex Submariner, so it is more affordable.

Is it worth all the fuss?
I don’t know much about these fancy watches, but I know my boy’s happy. And if he’s happy, I’m happy. He works hard, he deserves somethin’ nice. And if this high imitation Rolex watch makes him feel good, then I guess it’s worth it. Even if it does cost more than a month’s worth of groceries. I still don’t really understand this two-tone black Submariner quote thing, but as long as he is happy, that is enough.
