Well, I finally got around to checking out that CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Super Racing watch everyone’s been talking about. I’d heard whispers about it down at the market, how it’s some fancy timepiece city folks wear. Figured I’d see what all the fuss was about.

Look and Feel

There’s another one called “Reduced” that’s 39-mm and a “Professional” that is 42-mm, but this one felt just right. There were 14 different models! It was a tough choice, but I picked the one that I felt comfortable with.
This watch has got a lot of little details. The clerk pointed out something called a “Dot Over 90” bezel. I didn’t quite catch what it meant, but it looked neat. The whole thing is full of these little touches that are supposed to remind you of old-timey watches, I guess. But it’s not all cluttered. It’s got this clean look that I really liked. Very classy, you know? Easy to read the time, too, which is the whole point, right?
Trying It On
Putting it on, it felt good. Not too heavy, not too light. The band was comfortable, and it fit snugly on my wrist. I could see myself wearing this every day, no problem. I walked around the store a bit, pretending I was some big-shot astronaut since I heard these Speedmasters are famous for space stuff. It felt kind of special, I have to admit.
Final Thoughts
So, after spending a good chunk of time with the CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Super Racing, what do I think? It’s a solid watch. It’s well-made, it looks good, and it feels good to wear. They say it’s a good investment, something that’ll last a long time, like a good oak tree or a well-worn quilt. I can see that. It’s definitely a keeper. I can understand why this OMEGA Speedmaster is so popular.
