So, I started looking into this whole “Remake PRADA Medium Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag” thing. Sounds fancy, right? Turns out, it’s just a remake of a Prada bag. This one’s called the Galleria, and it’s made of this Saffiano leather, which I guess is a big deal.
First, I dug around online to see what the fuss was about. Apparently, this Galleria bag is pretty popular. I saw pictures of celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid carrying them around. And people online are always talking about the Re-Edition versions, like they’re the best thing ever. I’ve also noticed that there is a triangle thingy, that Prada logo on the bag.
I decided to check out some of these bags in person. Some people say that Prada bags don’t hold their value, but this bag looked pretty good. I went to a store that sells used bags, and I found this Galleria bag. It was the medium size, which seemed like a good everyday size, and it did not seem too big or too small. And it was in great shape, even though it wasn’t new.
- I also learned that Prada uses good materials, like full-grain leather. I guess that’s why they’re so expensive. I have a friend who has a Prada nylon tote, and she’s been using it for like eight years, and it still looks new.
- I checked the prices online and in stores, and yeah, these bags are not cheap. But I figured if I’m gonna get one, I might as well go for the used one.
Making the Remake
After all that research, I decided to try and remake one myself. Now, I’m no expert, but I’m pretty good with my hands. I found some similar leather online, and I started cutting and sewing. The most difficult thing is cutting and sewing Saffiano leather, but I’m good at handling it. I even managed to make that little triangle logo thingy.
It took a while, but I finally finished it! It’s not perfect, but it looks pretty close to the real thing. And you know what? I’m pretty proud of it. I saved a ton of money, and I have a bag that’s basically the same as the one all those celebrities are carrying around.
